Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how FenceTracer (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the FenceTracer web application at fencetracer.com and the Next Aura Worker mobile app for iOS and Android (together, the “Services”).
FenceTracer and Next Aura Worker are operated by Next Aura Labs Inc. If you have questions about this policy, email [email protected].
Who uses FenceTracer
FenceTracer is a business-to-business product for fence contractors. Our customers are contracting companies. Their employees (administrators, estimators, installers) use the Services to quote jobs, manage customers, and run installs. Most data we hold belongs to a contracting company; that company controls who in their organization can access it.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information:name, email address, and a password (which we store only as an argon2 hash — we never store your plaintext password).
- Company information: company name, billing address, role within the company, and team-member invitations you send.
- Business data you enter:customers, quotes, project drawings, takeoffs, pricing catalogs, and notes. This is your data — we hold it on your behalf so you can use the Services.
- Job data in the Worker app: the jobs your company assigns to you, structured status updates you post (on site, in progress, complete, etc.), and any notes you submit.
- Support communications: messages you send us by email or through the Services.
Information we collect automatically
- Authentication:session tokens stored in cookies (web) or in the device’s secure store (Worker app) so you stay signed in.
- Usage analytics: pages viewed, features used, and performance information, used to improve the product.
- Audit events:security-relevant actions inside your company account (sign-ins, role changes, quote state changes) recorded for your administrator’s review.
- Device and connection information: IP address, browser or device type, and operating-system version.
Information we do not collect
The Worker app does not collect location data, contacts, photos, microphone, or background-tracking information. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to train machine-learning models for third parties.
How we use information
- To provide, secure, and operate the Services.
- To authenticate you, scope your access to your company’s data, and prevent unauthorized access.
- To send transactional email (sign-in confirmations, invites, quote notifications, billing receipts).
- To process subscription billing through our payment processor.
- To diagnose problems, fix bugs, and improve the product based on aggregate usage.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms of service.
How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate the Services. The following sub-processors handle data on our behalf:
- Convex— database and backend functions.
- Railway— hosting for the web application.
- Postmark— transactional email delivery.
- Stripe— subscription billing and payment processing. Stripe receives your payment details directly; we do not see or store your full card number.
- PostHog— product analytics.
- Apple and Google— distribution and crash reporting for the Worker app, subject to their respective policies.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case we’ll notify you before your information is transferred under a different policy).
Where data is stored
Data is stored on servers operated by our hosting and database providers, primarily in North America. By using the Services you consent to the transfer and storage of your information in these locations.
Data retention
We retain account and business data for as long as your company account is active. If you cancel your account, we’ll delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, except where we’re required to keep it for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes. Audit logs are retained for up to 24 months.
Your rights and choices
- Access and update: you can view and update most account information from inside the Services.
- Delete your account: visit the official Next Aura Worker account deletion page or email [email protected] from the address on your account and we’ll remove your data within 30 days.
- Email preferences: transactional email (authentication, billing) is required to use the Services; you can opt out of any non-essential email at any time.
- Regional rights: depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under PIPEDA (Canada), GDPR (EU/UK), or CCPA (California), including the right to request a copy of your data or to lodge a complaint with a regulator. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.
Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your information: TLS in transit, encrypted storage at our database provider, argon2 password hashing, scoped session tokens, and per-tenant data isolation. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we’ll notify you without undue delay.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in-app notice.
